Reaching for the Clouds

When there is sunlight during the day in Paris, one thing that you can generally count on is a spectacular sunset. Out of my window one evening in June, I saw an improbably beautiful cluster of clouds moving fast towards the west. It was almost as if an exhibitionist cloud had decided to do a spontaneous dance performance, using the sky as its stage.

I grabbed my camera and set the focus at infinity. Meanwhile, I raised the window with my left hand so I could get both the airy formation and the rooftop across the street properly framed. Looking at the picture now, it looks as if my left hand is reaching out to touch the clouds.
