Jacob is a football player on the team "Albinos United"—a team of mostly Albino players in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Albinos face intense discrimination in the country, as well as periodic killings due to widespread superstitious beliefs.
Here, the players begin their game as it gets dark. In the daylight hours, it is dangerous for them to play because of their heightened risk for skin cancer. While these players are still beginners, that is not of importance. Instead, Jacob and his friends use football to demonstrate that they too are members of society.
