Born in Turin, 1982. After completing a degree in communication at the University of Turin, she moved to Barcelona to study photography. She lived for several years in Spain where she started to work as a freelance photographer, focusing on portrait and social reportage.
In 2009, at the FIOF Photography Awards, she won first prize in reportage as well as the photograph of the year for a series about the cheap houses in the Catalan capital.
Her work has been published in Marie Claire, Le Monde Magazine, Gioia, Io Donna, The Times and many other publications worldwide.
The artist Luigi Halo painted a wall in a beautiful empty and abandoned (and later occupied) space in Turin, Italy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t exist any more.
I was so fascinated from the moment I saw that wall that I decided to seek out the artist. I asked to make a portrait of him, while wearing the same pattern on himself. I used a double exposure to produce the final result.
Remember: every single piece of art is a new beginning. If a work manages to stimulate and capture the imagination of the observer, then it could create things that end up traveling much further away.
